How the HELL do I get started with NFT’s?
OK, so lots of people recently have been asking me about NFT’s and what they are and how they can get involved with them. I explain that they’re digital assets on the blockchain, I try and explain how broad that is and ask if they’ve done research on what they’re trying to do. Have you purchased an NFT before? Are you focusing on short term profit, long term profit, decentralization or holding for a profit?
Usually this is when they start to mention seeing something on the news and ultimately they have no clue. Basically the closest thing I could compare it to is nothing, do some damn research until you get it. Do not accept any abstraction or simplification, because it is already very simple. NFT’s are digital assets. Many of these NFT’s have shown what is possible, there are many success stories, however this reminds me a lot of the dot com bubble. Spacesubs
I believe in NFT’s, just as I am sure that many people believed in the internet. The internet didn’t go away, lots of people did make lots of money, but the people that didn’t understand what they were buying lost back then and I think that will happen again to those that are not vigilant in what projects they pursue, where they get their information from, what platforms they use to trade, this is what will make or break someones chances of making money with NFT’s.
There is a company out of Wyoming that is making this simple for artists and creators as well as people like me, that just want to buy, trade and sell NFT’s. Spotlight Media Ventures, Inc. Also known as CFEC, the Creative Financial Expedition Club, they work to create a social experience by creating the first Traveling Art Show that is both physical and virtual. CFEC handles a type of bar crawl experience where NFT’s are featured at a number of local businesses, usually bars because all of the screens there. This is the physical side of things, they also have a virtual experience that allows uses to walk around a gallery from anywhere in the world and speak with other art lovers. This is a fantastic experience for me, I have been so couped up during the last couple years due to COVID restrictions that this is refreshing.

If you’re an artist or a creator and you’re trying to get your art out there and do not understand how this works, ArtAtTheDockyard.com is a place for creators of all kind to get their work out there. They carefully curate collections from an assortment of artists, musicians and digital creators. By doing this, they create a treasure trove of NFT’s for anyone just trying to get started, ArtAtTheDockyard.com is a place to find what is “HOT” and also a good place to converse with the community about what to avoid. All in all, Jonny Newman, KoinHeim, Aplacefortraders.com and ArtAtTheDockyard.com are things to follow. I could not be happier that I found Jonny Newman and now I have someone to send people to, when asked about NFT’s.
