Also, better displays and better battery times will be top priorities for mobile phone companies.
OnePlus 9 – Q1:
Rumor has it that the new flagship series of OnePlus is coming out a little early. While most of their phones have come out in May/June, the OnePlus 9 might come out in March 2021. This phone will most likely have the new Snapdragon 888 chipset. Also, the newly released renders of the model show a camera hump design similar to the 8T and Nord N series. There will also be a continuation from the OnePlus 8T, with a 120 Hz display and 65 fast charging. It is still not confirmed whether OnePlus 9 have a Pro version or not.
Even though it is not official yet, but Honor will release the V40 series by January 18th, with two renditions. The phone will come with an incredible rear camera of 64 megapixels, and a display of 120 Hz, with a dual hole-punch front-facing camera. The phone will boost 40 W wireless charging as well. There are also rumors that only V40 will contain Huawei’s new Kirin 9000 processor.
Oppo Find X3:
At first, everyone knew that Oppo Find X3 would be released in the first half of the year. But now, it seems that the release of this phone will be pushed to the second half of the year. Like the OnePlus 9, this phone might also package the latest Snapdragon 888 chipset. It was also leaked that X3 may have a new camera lens specially designed for the phone, by Sony.
Samsung Galaxy Flip 2:
After the release of Samsung Galaxy Flip 1, it seems certain that Galaxy Flip 2 would hit the market. And it is expected to be seen sometime in the first half of 2021. Although everyone thought that it would be launched in January 2021, delays have happened. The phone is said to come with stereo speakers. This will be a huge improvement over the two previous Z Flips which were only equipped with a single downward-firing speaker. It is also rumored that Flip 2 would come with a bigger outer display of 1.1-inch, a triple camera setup, and a 120Hz display. And, it’s almost certain that the phone will convert to the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3:
Samsung is also going to launch the next generation of the Fold series, the Galaxy Z Fold 3. It will come out in the second half of 2021. The rumors are that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 will have S Pen stylus support and an under-screen camera. Samsung might release a more affordable fold phone called the Z Fold S or Z Fold Scroll.
As a new iPhone is released each year, this year will be the year of iPhone 13. And, there will likely be four phones in the series. The phone will most probably be powered by the new A15 Bionic processor, as well boost storage space of 1 TB. The phones should also increase the display to 120 Hz. The notch will also be included, but a smaller one.
